Local History Group – Meetings Update January 2017
Glynn White has drawn up a descriptive schedule for the next few Local History meetings listed and detailed below
Tuesday 24th January 2017 – “The rise and fall of Percy Pilcher … and the Art of Flight”.
Tuesday 28th February 2017 – “The Royal Observer Corps Early Warning Bunker that existed in Weston Turville”.
Tuesday 28th March 2017 – “The History of RAE Bedford”.
Tuesday 25th April 2017 – “Wild, Wild Women”.

Here’s the WTU3A Newsletter for January 2017. As a summary I cannot improve on Mandi’s covering note that says ‘For those who don’t read it until the following month and then complain they didn’t know about the activities and reports until too late, this one has: two holidays, new trips from Science and Technology, Garden Visits, Extreme visits and reminders about new coffee mornings, Creative writing plus updates and photos of 1st Aid Course and surfing (the last is wonderful, especially the collection of images and videos put togeter by Adrian and other Extreme characters!)
