Our Speaker Secretary, Heather Marshall, has done a splendid job of finding interesting and diverse speakers over the three years she was in the role, but has now handed over the reigns to our new Speaker Secretary, Simon Evers.
Simon has had a real challenge on his hands of late, as many of the speakers that were booked for the rest of the year did not wish to provide their talks over the Zoom platform, so he has had to start afresh! To whet our appetites, Simon has provided us with a synopsis of the speakers and the talks he has booked for our August, September and October virtual meetings. Read the details here.
WTU3A July 2020 Newsletter
The July newsletter has now been published, and it contains some good news in that couple of our Groups are now beginning to restart their activities! Read all about here.
The newsletter also has information about our ‘Virtual’ General Meeting on Thursday 23rd July.
Using Zoom, there will be an introduction by our Chairman followed by a talk by Michael Astrop on Origins and Oddities of English Inn Signs . The link to access the Zoom meeting and the Quiz sheet will be emailed to members a couple of days before the meeting. We hope you can join us.

Welcome to the February newsletter. Read it in full here. The speaker this month is the critically acclaimed author and speaker, Fran Sandham, and the title of the talk is “Dr Livingstone, I presume”. 
Also, to all our budding Pru Leith’s and Paul Hollywood’s, get your wooden spoons at the ready! Information and entry forms for the Bake Off Competition to be held at our Ten Year Anniversary launch at the monthly meeting on 28th May are available via the link here. WTU3A January 2020 Newsletter

The first meeting of 2020 is on Thursday 23rd January and we welcome back Tom Way who came to us a couple of years ago. Tom’s talk will be on wildlife photography. Start time is 2.30pm at the Rugby Club.

WTU3A TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY
A number of events to celebrate our 10th Anniversary have been arranged and we hope all our members will participate in at least one of the events. Events which take part within a general meetings will be free of charge to members.

This is our launch event at our general meeting. It will be an afternoon of tea and cakes with our version of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ with prizes awarded. Full instructions and information will be available nearer the time.
