Also, in a change to the previously advertised talk, our speaker is now a returning speaker, Jeff Rozelaar. His talk entitled ‘Bagels and Bacon’ is an autobiographical account of growing up in the post war East End.

Our next general meeting is on Thursday 24th November back at our usual venue, the Aylesbury Rugby Club, Weston Turville. Where Sarah Slater’s talk is ‘Secrets, Sex, Scandal and Salacious Gossip of the Royal Court, 1660 to 1830’.

Our next general meeting is on Thursday 22nd September when Tony Earle will present “The History of the Silver Screen”. Through the ages people have dreamed of moving pictures culminating in elaborate Victorian slide shows. It was not until the 1880’s that ‘Movies’ arrived.
