Our next trip is to the Shuttleworth museum on the 5th September, a Wednesday, for which there are still spaces. I have 28 interested but only 19 who have paid the £12 entry fee. Can you ensure that payment is made at the next general meeting or by delivering a cheque to me (details below), before Sat 25th August. Meet at 9-00 in the Five Bells Car park for 10-30 tour start time. For the afternoon the gardens are open at a cost of £6 pay on the day.
Following that on the 2nd of October, a Tuesday we go to the Music Museum near Chiswick. Entry is £8.50 for a tour starting at 1-00 which last about 2 hrs. We leave in own cars from the Five Bells at 11-00 so that we have time for lunch there. They have a Cafe which does basic meals etc.
The Postal Museum trip is next on the 20th November. Please note that there will not be a meeting on the first Thursday as this event takes its place. The event is fully booked and those who have given me money are on the list. I will be in touch to ask for the remainder of the fee and to determine if you wish to have the Fish and Chip lunch. If you wish to be added to the reserve list please contact me.
We will leave Weston Turville at 10-00 by coach and the return will not be until approx 8-00 as we are due to see the Christmas lights as part of the package. PLEASE NOTE this will be quite a strenuous day as we will be walking London streets as well as other activities.
On December 6th we meet in the Chapel hall for the second instalment of Paul Browns consideration of Moving things.
There will not be a meeting in January.
Cheques for the above should be made out to ‘Weston Turville U3A (Travel)’ and please make them out separately for each event. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the address to post your cheques to, or alternatively at any of our meetings or the monthly General Meeting.
