Aviation may be a topic for the future but John Beer’s new group has had its inaugural meeting – primarily looking at CAD (Computer Aided Design) – and established the initial tranche of potential visits: Bletchley Park (Enigma and Colossus), London Museum of Water and Steam, Harwell “Diamond” Synchrotron, Amazon Warehouse Hemel/MK, Glaxo Smith Klyne, NATS Centre Fareham (National Air Traffic System), Arla Dairy and BMW Oxford – a wide range of applied and theoretical science and technology – and talks/discussions as wide ranging as ‘how long is a piece of string’, automation of clinical diagnosis and read more …
