Adrian Randall let the cat out of the bag last week that, according to a Freedom of Information response from the Government about our national readiness to deal with an apocalyptic zombie invasion that was an anodyne “Britain is well prepared to fight apocalyptic zombie invasion” followed by the less than confident “In the event of an apocalypse brought about by an army of the undead, civil servants would co-ordinate the military’s efforts to “return England to its pre-attack glory”.

As a summary I cannot improve on Mandi’s covering note that says ‘For those who don’t read it until the following month and then complain they didn’t know about the activities and reports until too late, this one has: two holidays, new trips from Science and Technology, Garden Visits, Extreme visits and reminders about new coffee mornings, Creative writing plus updates and photos of 1st Aid Course and surfing (the last is wonderful, especially the collection of images and videos put togeter by Adrian and other Extreme characters!)

Extreme Visits 2016 -> 2017

Many thanks for your support over 2016, we had a great time and some quite amazing memories too. With Christmas over gather up your courage and strength for this year’s adventures.

Food Appreciation – Bon Appetit at the King’s Head, Ivinghoe – 8th February

The food appreciation group have spread their net a bit further for February’s luncheon and, having assiduously sampled the menu, have chosen the King’s Head in Ivinghoe. Pam and Rosemary assure us that dining at the King’s Head is a very pleasant experience!
Here are the Details and a SAMPLE menu to look at so that you are aware of the kind of food that is served – please note the basic cost of a 3 course lunch is £24.75 plus 10% gratuity making a total of £27.25.
Please let Pat or Rosemary know (foodappreciation@wtu3a.org.uk) if you want to come by, at the latest, by Thursday 26th January – the menu for the 8th February should be available by 6th February so you will be able to give them your choice of food.
BirdWatching – A Splash of Colour in these dark Cold Days

Extreme Visits – Indoor Karting – Re-Visit

Due to the original demand and the very enthusiastic reaction by WTU3A members in December a second visit is being scheduled to Rogue Racing Indoor Karting for Friday 10th February – early application is recommended as this will fill quickly.
