St Mary’s Church, Chalgrove
The earliest part of the church is 13th Century. In the 14th Century the chancel was decorated with wall paintings. The paintings were limewashed over during the reformation and rediscovered in 1858. These paintings are of international importance. The church also has an unusual painted monument dating from the end of the 17th Century.
We will meet at the church at 2pm. For more details contact Odette Harris at churches@wtu3a.org.uk.
