Further details on the events planned are below and a document with full information on the four trips planned to date can be found here:

7th February – our first meeting will be in the Chapel Hall at 2-30 when we have Dennis Trebble from the Aston Clinton Sci tech group coming to speak to us about ‘The History of Land Speed records’.  I hope we will be able to welcome him with a good group. A cost of £2 will be charged for this as me will be making a donation to the Pitstone Museum through Dennis at his request.

7th March – we are in the hall again for an exploration of the world of Spreadsheets lead by Damian Campbell. He will also review alternatives to Excel which could be helpful.

4th April – we have a trip to Buzz Rail the narrow gauge railway on the outskirts of Leighton Buzzard. The cost will be no more than £10 but until I have a better idea on numbers I cannot confirm the actual amount. Details of this and the following trips can be found on the attached document showing times, costs etc.

May 2nd – we have a coach trip which will combine a visit to the Museum of Military Medicine and The Milestone Museums Basingstoke. This will be a day trip, see attached document for details.

June 6th – we are planning a coach day visit to the Mary Rose Museum and HMS Warrior at Portsmouth dock. See attached for details.

July 4th – will be a meeting in the Chapel Hall for an as yet unspecified talk.

August 1st – we are planning a workshop in the Chapel Hall as we did last year, but this time based on use of Spreadsheet. I hope Paul Brown will be able to take us through the intricacies of them. This will need you to bring your own computer to complete some practical tasks.

September 5th – will be a trip to the Brooklands Museum. Travel will be by own cars, see document for details.

If you are interested in any of these events please email me or let Roger know at the January General meeting. Unfortunately I cannot be there but Roger will be assisted by Glynn to answer any questions.

I hope we have devised a set of interesting trips and talks for you this first part of the year.

Many thanks

John Beer
