Wednesday, 29th September

The next Grub Club’s meeting is lunch at Orchard View Farm, Meadle at 12.30pm.

Please contact Annie Edwards on grubclub@wtu3a.org.uk as soon as possible if you would like to join in as the venue will need to know the numbers. Maximum 20. 

 

Science and Technology is back!
 
Tuesday 5th October  (note not the usual Thursday) – Milton Keynes Museum .  
 
Full details are on the flyer.  The cost is £16 per person including lunch.  
 
Thursday, 4th November – The Silverstone Interactive Museum.  
 
Full details are on the flyer. The cost will be £17.50.

A slide presentation by Glynn White. 

Tuesday, 19th October – History of Amersham

This talk is by Colin Oakes, who had previously given a very interesting talk on Chesham.  

Tuesday, 16th November – The life of Cecelia Payne 

This talk is by Geoff Lodge of the Wendover U3A.

Mexican Train – Starting again

On the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at The Chandos, Weston Turville, starting at 2pm.  Please inform Mandi Simons on mexicantrain@wtu3a.org.uk if you are attending. 

Mahjong – Starting again

The group has now restarted and meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at the The Chapel Hall, Weston Turville.  Further details from Ken Shaw at mahjong@wtu3a.org.uk

Church Visits – Starting again

Tuesday, 12th October – St Michael’s, Stewkley.  

This visit has been rearranged due little interest for the previous date.  If anyone is interested in joining the list, please contact Odette Harris at churches@wtu3a.org.uk

WTu3a Newsletter – August 2021

Read it here.  It’s full of information on the groups that have restarted. 

Thursday 26th August is our first General meeting where we resume our normal format with a Speaker!  At last we can enjoy a talk without the limitations of Zoom. 

The Speaker is Bernie Knill and his talk is entitled “Hughenden and Benjamin Disraeli – the most unlikely Prime Minister”.  Click the link here to see details of Speakers planned for our General Meetings from August to November 2021 at the Rugby Club.
