The talk is Gardens for Us and Them by Dr Ian Bedford, a retired Research Entomologist, who will speak on how home gardens can all become valuable stepping stones for our wildlife in the quest to protect the natural reserves.

From the 14th – 18th of June, Mirthy will be hosting ‘Festival of Belonging 2021’– 5 days of FREE online events in support of Marmalade Trust’s Loneliness Awareness Week.
From Storytelling to Belly Dancing, DIY poetry to Laughing Yoga, all events will be highly interactive, completely FREE, and focused on building a sense of belonging throughout the U3A community.
Online events are available to attend on the day by Zoom following the link on the website. So there’s no need to book in advance.Â

This is a Grade I listed parish church. Its masonry was largely built in the 8th to 11th centuries during the Anglo-Saxon period, making it one of the oldest surviving churches in England.
Mary Duly is hoping to announce resumption of Garden Visits at our July Meeting. Â For what remains of this year we will keep them local so that own transport can be used.

The Tower of London and the Crown Jewels. Â
There will be a Blue Badge-led trip round the Tower followed by a viewing of the Crown Jewels (after the crowds have gone) and then fish and chips at Kennedy’s. Â Full details below.
