Extreme Visits – Social Darts – 21st November

15 October, 2019

There’s a new trend we’ve not tried yet – Social Darts. We’ve booked 2 oches at 14:00 at the Bloomsbury Flight Club on Thursday 21st November.

‘Social Darts’ is an experience which brings you and your friends together for unexpected, ridiculous, joy.

We’ve reinvented darts for the twenty first century, developing a range of fast and exciting multi-player games, built to bring people together and designed to keep you unexpectedly hooked, insatiably entertained and full of joy.

Whether you’re an expert darts sniper or a total beginner, everyone has a chance to win when they step up to one of our multiple throw lines.

More details in the attached flyer – the itinerary may well grow with at least one other unusual venue. Travel would be Group Travel Travel Cards from Wendover or Stoke Mandeville.

Contact the Extreme Team to book your place.

Pay as you go Exercise Class

8 October, 2019
As mentioned at our September meeting, although this is not a U3A activity, this may still be of interest to some of our members.  Every Saturday Helen Mulhall, who works at the Halton Tennis Centre, runs a pay as you go class (£8) at 8.30am.  Helen essentially gives a gym programme to the group for 6 weeks and leaves the group to work to it whilst she supervises as much or as little as required. See more details in the attached flyer. There is no requirement to be a member of the gym and neither do you need previous experience.

Helen is seeing a lot more members in their 60s, 70s and 80s now and obviously regular exercise can help alleviate a lot of symptoms from arthritis, back pain, etc as well as helping to delay osteoporosis and keep the heart and joints healthy.  Helen is qualified in the GP Referral Scheme as well as having a Level 4 Certificate in Lower Back Pain.
