Deter property theft AND aid recovery?
AVDC’s Community Safety team and Thames Valley Police are offering free tool engraving and marking during April.
They will use a product called CREmark, a marking system that clearly marks the ownership of your possessions, in order to deter thieves and aid the recovery of stolen property. It is clear visible security coding with a protective overcoat lacquer.
Free CREmark and engraving of tools for up to three items will be offered on a first come first served basis while stocks last at well marked stalls at:
- World’s End Garden Centre – Friday 5th April 2013 from 10:00-13:00
- Buckingham Garden Centre – Wednesday 10th April 2013 from 10:00-15:00
- B&Q, Aylesbury – Thursday 11th April 2013 from 09:30-13:30

As you will see from the picture the CREmark is a very visible thus making items less valuable for thieves and, if actually stolen or lost, easily identifiable.
Unlike other systems this is easy to use and, quite obviously, does not require any paperwork or registration. Those getting tools marked will also receive a free vehicle crime pack and shed and garage security advice.

Latest News …

The Committee and Group Leaders often publish notices of events etc. in greater detail on the web site than in e-mail and refer on to Diary entries or other postings BUT it’s another thing for us to remember to look here for anything new so … you can now ask to have an e-mail notification of new items on the site.
If you want to try this, scroll down the side-bar to the ‘Latest News’ logo and fill in your e-mail address and ‘Subscribe’ and any new posting will cause an e-mail to arrive in your In-Box.
If the subject does not interest you, do no more, otherwise click on the link and your Internet browser will open at our site and display the whole posting. Please give it a try, you can always Unsubscribe later if you wish.
Remember all items, or posts, on the site remain here for later viewing for, more or less, ever – using the Search at the top of almost every page works like our own little Google to find occurrences of words you type.
