Wish You Were Here … in Weston Turville?!

Amid many interesting things on the WT History Society’s web page is an interesting selection of old postcards of … Weston Turville!
They are to be found at www.wthsoc.org.uk/gallery/postcards and there are about 170 of them.
The society are very interested in any other early card of the area you may have for the collection, loan or copying. Who would have guessed at least 11 postcard photographers decided on using our crossroads as a subject.
Well, Shivver my Timbers, there’s Treasure to be found!

You will remember, that is those of you who attended this month’s general meeting, that the Historical Society Treasure Hunt can be carried out by non-society members but entries need to be completed by 7th September – the date of the Village Fete.
If you want to take part, download this PDF Clues & Entry Form and, having completed the hunt you can return it as shown or take it to the fete – probably earlier the better!
Enjoy and good luck!
