Garden Visits – The Grange, Chalgrove – 19th September

The next garden visit on the afternoon of 19th September is to The Grange at Chalgrove, Oxfordshire.  The owner tells us that her garden is featuring in the September issue of The English Garden magazine.  There are still spaces available. The cost is £8.00 which includes garden entry, tea or coffee and cake.  This NGS Garden is open just for our group.

Reasons to visit:

• herbaceous borders and a field turned to prairie with many grasses inspired by the Dutch style.
• lake with bridges and a planted island, a brook running through the garden
• wild flower meadow, a further pond
• arboretum, an old orchard and partly walled vegetable garden.
