Our entry, lovingly named Jemima, may not have been the fastest go cart there, but the general public took her to their hearts. It may have been her plaintive quacking in the pits, her egg laying capabilities on the run, or even her final glorious transformation to a mallard that earned her votes. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-7218\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wtu3a.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pic-3-on-the-day-264x300.jpg\" alt=\"Pic 3 on the day\" width=\"264\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wtu3a.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pic-3-on-the-day-264x300.jpg 264w, https:\/\/www.wtu3a.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pic-3-on-the-day-132x150.jpg 132w, https:\/\/www.wtu3a.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pic-3-on-the-day.jpg 375w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 264px) 100vw, 264px\" \/> I am delighted to tell you that she was the winner of the people\u2019s choice \u201cBest Looking\u201d award and her team were able take the winner\u2019s podium to be presented with the trophy. <br \/>\n\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-7217\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wtu3a.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pic-2-on-the-day-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Pic 2 on the day\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wtu3a.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pic-2-on-the-day-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.wtu3a.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pic-2-on-the-day-113x150.jpg 113w, https:\/\/www.wtu3a.org.uk\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pic-2-on-the-day.jpg 332w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/>Thanks must go to all those who helped in any way with the design and construction (some of whom will now be suffering from empty-nest syndrome); to the long -suffering wives and to everyone who came to support the team.<br \/>\n On their number-plate, proudly displayed, were the U3A principles Learn, Laugh and Live. I think everyone involved with this project certainly did that.
