Greenfingers Charity walk and cycle on 16th March – request for marshals

28 January, 2018

A request sent to the walking group but others may be interested: I’m from a locally based charity (Beaconsfield) called Greenfingers Charity, dedicated to fundraising to create magical gardens for life-limited children who spend time in hospices. Our main fundraising event of the year is Garden Re-Leaf Day. This year we’re organising a sponsored charity walk (and cycle) starting and finishing at World’s End Garden Centre in Wendover on Friday 16th March.

As there are only 3 of us in the office, we look for volunteers to help us marshal on the day and hoped that some of your members might be interested in helping out.

There are 10 and 20 mile walk options and some people run so we need to have people in place for most of the day (roughly 9:30-5:00) so ideally would like to put a rota in place. Perhaps each pair could do 2-3 hour slots – it’s much more fun working in a pair.

Please would you let me know if you think this is something your members might like to help with and if there is any interest we can work out the details.

With kind regards,

Mandy Rooke
